[Case Study] Next-generation ceiling lighting to replace mercury lamps, illuminating even dark work areas.

Next-generation ceiling lighting that replaces mercury lamps, brightly illuminating even dark work areas.

At a factory of a mechanical parts processing manufacturer, mercury lamps were used for lighting. Shadows were cast on the work area, and the brightness was insufficient, hindering the processing work. Issues: 1. When cutting steel materials to millimeter precision, the light from the ceiling's mercury lamps does not reach adequately, making markings hard to see. 2. The worker's own multiple shadows (multi-shadow) fall on the object, making it difficult to see the work area. 3. Due to the difficulty in seeing, workers tend to accumulate fatigue more easily. 4. The lifespan of mercury lamps is short, lasting only 1 to 2 years, and replacing them requires time and cost.

Pupil lumen

A new standard for lighting evaluation has already been established in Europe and the United States, considering the state of human pupils!

We would like to introduce "PLM: Pupil Lumen." Recent research has revealed that the traditional brightness standard "Lux" is not directly related to human visual capability. Instead, a new concept called "Pupil Lumen (Plm)," which takes into account the state of the human pupil, has begun to emerge as a new standard for lighting evaluation in Europe and the United States. [Summary (Excerpt)] - The diameter of the human pupil varies between 2 to 8 mm, resulting in an area change of up to 16 times. - In bright environments, the pupil constricts, reducing the amount of light entering the eye. - Conversely, in areas without strong light, the pupil dilates, allowing more light to enter the eye. As a result, one may perceive the environment as brighter than indicated by the Lux value. - The calculation method for pupil lumen involves applying a correction factor (S/P Ratio Correction Factor) to each lighting source. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Principle and Structure of Electrode-less Lamps

Achieving an impressive lifespan of 60,000 hours! A lighting system combined with a dedicated inverter.

We will introduce the principles and structure of the "electrode-less lamp" that our company handles. Since it adopts a mechanism based on the principles of electromagnetic induction and discharge light emission, the lamp itself is not affected by factors such as electrode wear, allowing it to light up semi-permanently. By passing high-frequency current through a coil, a magnetic field is generated in the ferrite core, which in turn creates an electric field inside the lamp. Electrons released in this electric field collide with mercury particles, emitting ultraviolet light, which is then converted into visible light by the phosphor coated on the inner wall of the lamp tube. 【Features】 ■ No filament ■ No electrode wear compared to conventional fluorescent lamps ■ Achieves an impressive lifespan of 60,000 hours ■ Lighting system combined with a dedicated inverter ■ Instant lighting and instant re-lighting are easily possible *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

This page introduces a case where large sign lighting was replaced from existing mercury lamps to "electrode-less lamps." The existing lighting was changed from 300W mercury lamps × 6 (1800W) to 100W electrode-less lamps × 5 (500W). [Request Details] - Replacement of 6 existing mercury lamps with 5 electrode-less lamps - Make the sign more noticeable - However, do not focus on illuminating the logos on both sides; instead, shine the light on the skating rink [Effects After Installation] - The number of lights was reduced from 6 to 5, achieving energy savings and higher efficiency - The unique light characteristics of the electrode-less lamp improved visibility (thumbnail image) For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Switching from mercury lamps is not just to LED! Electrode-less lamps.

Perfect for switching from mercury lamps! The lifespan of a non-electrode lamp equals the lifespan of the inverter! A lamp that emits light through coils, with no bulb burnout.

The electrodeless lamp is a bulb that does not have electrodes inside the light-emitting tube, utilizing the principles of electromagnetic induction and discharge for light emission. It consists of an inverter (ballast), an induction coil, and a light-emitting body. The inverter generates a magnetic field from the induction coil, causing electromagnetic induction. The electrons generated by this process excite the atoms inside the tube, producing ultraviolet light, which then collides with the phosphor on the inner wall of the bulb to create visible light. 【Features】 ■ Wide emission range ■ Energy-saving (electricity costs reduced by more than half) ■ Natural light ■ No flicker (gentle on the eyes) ■ Difficult to create shadows *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
